Elder Carlie Towne is a producer, play-write, poet, historian, TV host and narrator. She is Director of The Gullah/Geecheeangelnetwork and Minister of Information for the Gullah/Geechee Nation. Elder Carlie Towne has served her community for years creating space for local Gullah/Geechee Artists to flourish, creating Educational productions in partnership with the City of Charleston for the Moja Arts Festival and more. She continues her work through her organization the Gullah/Geechee Angel Network. It's mission is
to preserve, protect and promote the cultural heritage of the Gullah Geechee People who have lived in the southeastern portion of the United States of America from North Carolina to Jacksonville Florida 30 miles inland (known as the "Low Country") for over 300 years. To connect all people, not just in the 50 states, but internationally throughout the Diaspora, Europe, Caribbean and Africa.
Goals and Objectives are achieved by the implementation of a seven (7) point program that utilizes
